The vehicle tracking facility provides you with ‘real time’ (live) tracking of your vehicle and is accurate to 5m! Your vehicle security system can be set to periodically or continuously transmit its location.
In periodic mode requesting the `Locate on demand' option causes the system to request the vehicles current location, allowing the user to ‘update’ the location map without having to wait for the next update.
You can use the web interface to perform the following actions;
- Display a vehicles most recently recorded location on the on-screen map.
- Show the vehicles movements over a specified time period, on the on-screen map.
- View a vehicle’s status information by selecting the appropriate vehicle icon.
Status information shows the time the data was received, the vehicle’s details, the driver, location, direction and speed. If a location update is received indicating the vehicle is moving 'out-of-hours' (determined by storing working hours within the user details) the time displayed shall be shown in red.
