Using a touchtone telephone you can lock and alarm you vehicle remotely. If your vehicle has already been taken you can listen in, speak to the person and immobilise it. Then use the tracking facility to request an SMS text providing the location or login to the web browser to see exactly where your vehicle is. The telephone command overrides the SMART FOB /CARD. Once the system is locked and armed it cannot be opened with FOB or SMART Card. New units can be purchased and your system recoded.
Yes. As with any system that uses mobile phone technology you will incur a low cost line rental charge for the mobile phone facilities. Just like any mobile phone, you pay a fee when the system makes outgoing calls. It will also cost just 25p to request a vehicle location text. The i-Tech Smart Security & Management System uses a Vodafone SIM card.
Yes, the SMART FOB has a numeric keypad that allows you call numbers – just like a mobile phone. The system is supplied with a Vodafone SIM card and line rental which you will be responsible for. The line rental is very low (ask for details of latest offer) although you may wish to assess your usage and choose a higher tariff if you make lots of calls.
We don’t recommend you use a SIM that needs topping up or can run out of credit when you might need it most! Fixed line rental SIM’s mean you never have to worry if you have enough credit left.
If your phone is off or you don’t hear it, the system will call the 2nd number you have previously programmed should this event occur.
Yes any after market product can be used; the system is designed to be compatible with after market devices and uses industry standard connectors and interfaces.
